Thank you for the reply. I will have to access the help files this way. Strange, i have always loaded the files from disc, & created a desktop shortcut to the files, never had a problem in the past.
John
I think i just figured this out, i had Google Chrome set as my default browser, i set Internet Explorer as default, & it seems to work ok. The whole point of loading the files locally, was so i could access the help files without the use of the internet.

When I was talking to my reseller last week, there was an option to download the help files from PTC have you looked into that?
Hallo,
M10x1 aussehen.
How do I upgrade my graphics card and will it cost a lot
Certainly worth reporting, John. Its the only way to nip these little niggles in the bu..d.
Wow, I want to know how to get 50% off maintenance.
Like others said, licenses are permanent. The only functionality you will lose is access to technical support and possibly some of the online help content. The software will keep running just fine.
No matter how long you've been off maintenance, you will never pay more to get back on than new-purchase price. As others mentioned, PTC will typically become very flexible when trying to get you back on maintenance.
If you're still on maintenance, and not yet running the latest version of everything, make sure you request new licenses and download all current versions of the software before your maintenance expires.
if you have more than one license then you should have atleast 51% of individual license seats under maintenance....
otherwise they would stop your current maintenance..also.
hi, guys
here is my problem.
I want to connect pro/e with modefrontier by using trail file. So I first define some parameters in pro/e. However, in the trail file, there shows no parameter name just some numbers.
Does anyone know how to modify trail file, in order to define parameters?
here is a part of my trail file:
~ Command `ProCmdMmParams`
~ Activate `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.TBAddParam`
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
5505140
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
4718696
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
524296
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
524296
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
4259937
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
5111918
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
4653159
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
3211313
~ Disarm `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
2 `new_added_row` `name`
~ Activate `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.TBAddParam`
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
5898362
~ Key `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
3211313
~ Disarm `relation_dlg` `ParamsPHLay.ParTable` \
2 `new_added_row` `name`
~ Activate `relation_dlg` `PB_OK`
!Undo: added rec_id 327 type 5204
!
There are some tweak settings in config.pro to change the default behavior of both reading and writing trail files. I think by default it just picks screen locations. I have very little luck with running trail files.
help me anyone
I want to calculate the torsional stiffness of a cross member and compare two different materials. So i put Steel as material and enter the values:
Material 1
Tensile Yield Stress: 460 MPa
Tensile Ultimate Stress: 670 MPa
Material 2
Tensile Yield Stress: 550 MPa
Tensile Ultimate Stress: 760 MPa
After this, I do two simulations, one for each material. When I later open the Measures dialog box it shows that the "max_rot_x" is the same on both crossmembers (the rotation is in x-direction). This doesn't make any sense to me. The cross member with the better material quality should have a higher torsional stiffness than the exact same cross member with less quality, right?
Is there any other way to calculate the torsional stiffness?
See the pictures below
Thanks for you reply. But is there any chance to change this? Have you ever connect pro/e with modefrontier?
Thanks, this is very important for me.
I will do some digging on the net tonight, must be a way to edit and create you own.
I will post back here if I find anything.
It is easy to make your own.
The trick is to create a new "material" so you can add your own image.
Getting them to be effective in the scene, that is a trick I haven't figured out.
Tom,
we are not a very big factory, because we have about 150 seats of Windchill and a little bit more of 50 Creo.
But when we renewed our three years maintenance agreement with PTC, we also have planned a list of possible developement project on Windchill.
For this project we are required to buy some SW, so we discuss with PTC about buying SW and have less maintenance to pay.
Depending on how much SW we could buy, PTC have proposed us three different amount of discount.
Then it was all about negotiation.
Hi,
I guess that you are trying to run STANDALONE version of Thermal/Structure. I am almost sure it is not possible. You can run analysis from Creo Parametric, only.
For example:

Hello,
The problem is when firewall is OFF, all my applications like parametric, simlute etc are running but as soon as I turn it ON there is a warning messege that "License server is down or not responding" .
But I want my firewall to be turned ON and use the apps. Is there any setting for this . Please help.
