Creo 2.0 30 Day Trial - Quality Agent Error

$

I just installed the Creo 2.0 30 Day Trial, and when I fire up Creo I get the following error message:

"Creo Parametric is shutting down becvause it could not run the Quality Agent, which is required in this edition. If you call Technical Support about this problem, report error 0xc6000005."

Now, Quality Agent was installed with the entire install, and it looks like its doing what it does when I fire it up, and it has a tab for "Creo Parametric Trial."

Thanks for any help in sorting this out.

Migrating PROE CAD data into teamcenter is my problem. I tried to create the instruction file using dry run option, but it showing some error ...

hi,

before making such statements...try using Creo(Pro|Engineer) properly. the only reason solidworks was made...so that it could be more user friendly than Pro/Engineer.....

Pro/Engineer is the backbone of Solidworks......

Pro/E is very easy to use...very logical..........

the assembly in solidworks is very bad......

i am not too happy with the way Creo has come up..but its predecessor...Pro|Engineer...is....very good.

You do not know how to use it properly..so do not blame it in on Creo(Pro/Engineer).

its never how fast you can make something..its always how fast you can make changes...

Hi There,

I apologise to vent but I am talking about Creo Elements/Direct . I have used Pro/E only once, so cannot give opinion there.

I find this very hard to use, and to make changes to model or assembly, very difficult and confusing.

I want to like this product, and am having some training over the next month, so maybe my viewpoint will change somewhat! I hope so.

I fiind Creo E/D has got a great direct modelling approach, but I find the Co-Pilot seems to give unexpected results and I am never sure if it has performed the task in hand correctly, and having to double check if it has done the previous operation correctly.

Still, I may be a Creo Enthusiast yet?!

creo or pro/e has upper hand in " in context designing" or otherwise known as top down approach, these days most of the cad is related to making something which is already seen or materialized,if someone want to design something from scratch he/she won't think about nuts and bolts first and then make  profile.

general process is thinking about outside profile that's where creo scores in,making skeleton models etc.

in todays scenerio most of the parts are already known and seen and stress is on barfing it out form of 3D models and that's where creo loses badly.

it employs strict discipline to learn its ways.

having said that

and message prompts in pro/e must be written by some 90 years old woman suffering from severe case of dementia.

In case it is of any value to solving this, I also was sent an email from PTC that had a sw_license_email_(some number).dat in it, that had no email body or instructions.

Matt,

I have good news for you.  Creo Parametric is a world apart from Creo Elements/Direct.

Personally, I had a really tough time with the workflow in Creo Elements/Direct.

There is a really huge following of people that love Creo Elements/DIrect who will most likely, rant and rave how terrible Solidworks and Creo Parametric are.

Please contact your reseller and see if they can connect you with a right technical personnel.  They can look at your screen and help get the issue resolved.  I too had a lot of trouble when I 1st loaded the evaluation copy.  They took care of the issues quickly.

hi Heidi,

I used to know what to click on on the PTC main page to get to that calendar, but I don't know anymore. I guess the PTC website has changed, I am not sure.

Could you tell me what should I click on to get from www.ptc.com right to this calendar? Thanks

The rack can move independently based on its constraints and the constraints of the mating spur gear.  You have to be careful that you are properly constraining the individual elements back to the grounded body.  The best technique seems to be to have relationships chained from the parent part to the mating part rather that skipping levels.

I know this is a generic answer but it is difficult to see exactly what your mechanism is doing.

Hopefully this is an easy one.

I have been requested to have one balloon point to multiple items (of the same type). I have found a way to create a second balloon (see first picture below), but I fudged the lower balloon #5 with two arrows (see second picture). Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks, Dale

Edit the attachement and hold the CTRL key for a second selection.

Creo 2.0?

One of the arrows for the lower was fudged, and the bottom arrow just moved to the top when I held the Ctrl-key down. In WF5.0/Creo this was the results:

Printer select by Paper Size

Hi,

I think this is possible, but I don´t know how to do it:

We have a plotter and a printer(Okic5600).

I want to create a mapkey to print with the following condition:

If paper size=A4 send to Printer

Else

Send to Plotter

I´m trying to achieve this with one single click. Can this be done using the PCF files?

I'm also having problems configuring the pcf file for the Oki printer. I made a copy of generic postscript pcf file and added the Plotter Command: WINDOWS_PRINT_MANAGER OkiC5600

It always returns an error message on printer:"Error: Invalid Data"

I tried through DOS commands too (using "print /d", "lpr" and "net use") always getting the same result.

I´m using Creo 2 on Win7 and the printer is directly conected to the network.

Thanks.

I don't think this can be done, or at least not with the default balloons.

Not really sure if it's possible to build the balloon symbol to have multiple attachments.
