Re: Load multiple drawings into session at once
If all you want is to open them, an AutoIt script would handle that nicely. VBA can cover it also, but AutoIt has a smaller footprint. AutoIt has a function to pull data from the clipboard, which...

PTC Community, Is there existing functionality that will show all the lines as black when the No Hidden function is selected? Figure 1 shows the assembly as shaded. Figure 2 shows the assembly when...

Steven, those purple things are quilts and not solids. Other than a few other artifacts along the top of the backrest, it appears to be working as expected.

Antonius, The default is 64bit IE in 64 bit Creo on Windows 7 64 bit edition. However there are various reasons the 32 bit IE may be embedded instead of the 64 bit version. First note the default IE...

My bad. You can change the render color of the entire assembly and all the solid lines will be that color. The tangent edges are managed by Secondary Highlight colors in the system color>graphics...
View ArticleRe: Creo Parametric 3.0 - No Hidden Line Capability
There is a CONFIG.PRO option called COLOR. If you set the value to none, it turns everything white. Then set the color scheme to BLACK ON WHITE.Ignore the highlighted componetent.
View ArticleRe: Creo Parametric 3.0 - No Hidden Line Capability
Forgot about that. There is a button in the render tab for that too. Still the tangent edges are not affected... in black and white it simply goes gray which is the typical default.

Thanks Stephen. That solved the problem.

That is certainly not the answer I was given by Dell. This was a few years ago but I found it odd that the 64 bit IE was buried in the programs and that the default browser was 32 bit. Almost no...

Stephen, When you stated to set the color scheme to BLACK ON WHITE. Were you talking about the system colors?
View ArticleRe: Removing curves and surface from drawings
Personally, I don't like drawings following model layer status. All too often some artifact is unhidden in the model and turns on in a drawing only to notice it when you print the drawing. Cosmetic...

I too would work with a solid model if all you want is the boat hull and not try fabricating it. Boundary Blend will make the bottom and some strategic sweeps will make the ribs. Build the side and...

Because you are working with such large panels and very little deformation, you can use flattened quilts to come up with very close results. Are you planning on merging the sides and back to a single...

yes we build the majority of our larger boats in 4 pieces (2 sides, bottom, and the back). all seams are welded and they have crimped ribs performed on a large metal brake. How does the flattend...

There are a lot of options but typically, if you create a datum point along a straight edge, it works without trouble. It uses the plane of that edge at the point's location to determine the...
