This is the perfect place for these questions.  It is just a little quiet around here on the weekends. In short, you want to use the offset feature... but not generically...Take a look at the offset...

Unfortunately, this is a very sensitive command.  1st of all, You might extend the edges of the primary surface so you are not trying to deform the edge.  This can be trimmed later.   As for channels,...

Wherever you want.  It will ask for it during the install process.  At that time you can drag-n-drop the license file when requested.

Re: Why does PTC insist on Ribbon Interface? Over 40% strongly dislike!

You can also add the measure command to the Quick Access Toolbar above the ribbon. You still have to add it for different areas as part, asm shtmtl etc but it can be accesssible at the same location....
